kitty litter
On Sunday my husband went to run a few errands and stopped at the local grocery store for items we needed. Kitty Litter was on the list. He came home from the store and started bringing packages into the house. His last trip in the house was a big box of Kitty Litter. Lanie's eyes got real big and she knelled next the the box. She says "oh daddy open it, open it!, You bought me a new kitty". Apparently she thought that because it had a cute picture of a cat on the side of the box then that is also what was inside the box. She was heart broken when she realized no such surprise inside. We reminded her that we already had ribbons and she was our special cat but she did shed a few tears until she got distracted and went playing along with something else. I think we will make a mental note of the boxes we bring into the house.

happy fall
today we enjoyed a great october day and beautiful fall day. i was suppose to work today but we had too many nurses scheduled so i got the day off. we have been pretty busy with paige having girl scouts, piano lessons, tennis lessons, and i started violin lessons this week too. I am glad to have an unexpected day off.
i started violin lessons because i have always wanted to learn to play but always made excuses of why it was too late to learn. i decided that when i am only 44 years old i will have played the violin for 10 years and hopefully be a decent musician. It is never to late to begin something new!

sisters
I was looking back at past pictures and found this one of when Laine was born. It just melted my heart. Paige was so excited to meet her. She was proud to be a big sister. Her cousins even sang "for she's a jolly good fellow" and carried her into the room to meet Laine. Even though sometimes they fight they are best buddies. Don't let anyone mess with her sister or Paige will be after them. It cracks me up how protective they are of each other. The can push each other's buttons but if anyone bullies one or the other they totally stick up for each other. I hope they remain close like my sister and I as they grow.
