We had an amazing trip to Disney. We did so much that I think I need vacation from my vacation! We visited all the Disney Parks and have so many awesome memories. Paige wanted an artist do do a drawing of her and he did an awesome job of making her into a mermaid. Paige rode her first really big roller coaster (she didn't really like it). Laine wanted to go on it but she was too short. I actually had to walk her up to the gate and show her the height requirement. She walked away and sat on a rock and told the stranger sitting next to her that she was a "Loser" because she was too small. He started laughing and I felt like I had to explain that she had never heard those works come from me! We had breakfast one morning with all the Princesses. She saw 3 different parades and fireworks and went swimming and filled our days. What memories!

birthday girl!

This week is my oldest daughters birthday and I just have to say WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE??? I now have a 8 year old. I go back and forth between not remembering her as a newborn and tiny and thinking like it seems like it was just yesterday when I was changing diapers. Now she has earrings and is growing and maturing. She is reading and learning piano and other interests. She is so special to me. She is really beautiful inside and out. She is a great girl and wonderful sister and good friend. Happy Birthday Paige.

just a normal thing to do...

I have many reasons why I am so excited to take our children to Disney. Of coarse the fun and excitement of meeting the princesses, and the warm weather, swimming in the pool and enjoying 8 days of uninterrupted time with my husband and children. However I think the biggest reason for me of looking forward to Disney is because it makes me feel like a normal family.

A couple years ago when Laine was born and things were scary for a while (see my past posts about Laine if you need to) I was thinking in my head that never again would my life be normal. I was concerned we may not always be able to do the things that other families do. Some of my concerns were justhadababyandhormonal and some were yourdaughterhasararegeneticdisorder concerns. But we can. And we are. And Laine is healthy now (besides a cold). At our last appointment for Laine our doctors heard we were going to Disney and sent us directions to the children's hospital and information about the doctors we should ask for. I sure hope that they have prepared for nothing. Please pray for health for our family. Just a couple more days.

P.S. A funny story about Laine....She asks me if "when we are on the plane will you hold my hand mommy?" "Yes Laine I would love to hold your hand. Why? Do you think you will be scared Laine?" "Yes" Laine replies. "When we have to jump I think I will be scared" she says. Apparently she thought we were parachuting into Disney.
